Day 01 : Delhi to Leh arrival and transfer.
After an exciting flight from Delhi to Leh, we receive you at the KG Bakula airport, Leh and transfer you to Hotel/Gueshouse for complete rest for acclimatization. Afternoon visit to local market for walk. Overnight stay at hotel/guesthouse.
Day 02 : Shey/Thiksey/Rancho School/ Shanti stupa/Leh Palace.
After breakfast visit to Leh Palace, for the overall view of complete Leh town and then drive to visit to Thiksey monastery, one of the most active Buddhist monastery with the huge image of future Buddha Maitreya and amazing views of the entire Indus area. Drive up to Stakna thang for over-all views of the area and then drive back to Leh. Evening visit to Shanti Stupa for sun-set and visit to Leh market. Overnight hotel/guesthouse.
Day 03 : Lower Indus tours ( Hall of Fame -Confluence-Likir Monastery-Alchi Temple-Leh)
After breakfast drive to see the beautiful army museum “Hall of Fame” and then drive further to one of the most beautiful sights along the Indus river. You will be following the Indus and got to see the confluence of Indus & Zanskar rivers at Nimmo-Samgam. You will stop for pictures and stretching legs, enjoy the beautify of the river and then drive further to visit to Likir monastery, landscape and huge image of Future Buddha “Maitreya” can be seen outside, Later on visit to Alchi, the most ancient site, more than 1000years old fresco painting, huge images with fresco on it, it is also referred as the “Ajanta of North India”. Have a lunch at Alchi village and spend quality time at here. You are driving on the National Highway NH1 (Leh-Srinagar via Kargil Highway). Magnetic Hills, oldest Gurudhawara pathar sahib on the way and then if time permit visit to the local market. Overnight hotel/Guesthouse at Leh.
Day 04 : Nubra Valley via 5600m high pass Khardongla pass with Protected Area Permit/wildlife permit.
After breakfast drive to the World’s highest motorable road “Kharzongla Pass” 18380fts, which take you to Nubra Valley- the Valley of flowers, as it is means. It has the most beautiful landscape, the tiny villages, ruff road and exciting path are memorable for a life time. Once you reach to the valley, you will find Disket monastery on the mountain, huge image and beautiful views and then Overnight stay at hotel/Guesthouse at Hunder village in Nubra Valley.
Day 05 : Nubra Valley Excursion and Visits to Turtuk village.
After breakfast drive to Turtuk village, the last captured village from the neighbour country 70’s and see the local people and then drive back to Leh. Evening Bactrian camel ride and walk in the sand dune. Overnight stay at Hunder.
Day 06 : Nubra Valley – Pangong lake via Shayok valley crossing Shayok river.
After a good breakfast drive to Pangong via Shayok Valley crossing the Shayok river. Pangong lake is an endothecia lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m (14,270 ft). It is 134 km (83 mi) long and extends from Ladakh (India) to China. Approximately 60% of the length of the lake lies in China. The lake is 5 km (3.1 mi) wide at its broadest point. All together it covers 604 kms. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. It is not a part of Indus river basin area and geographically a separate land locked river basin. The brackish water of the lake has very low micro-vegetation. On the other hand, visitors see numerous ducks and gulls over and on the lake surface. There are some species of scrub and perennial herbs that grow in the marshes around the lake. The lake acts as an important breeding ground for a variety of birds including a number of migratory birds. During summer, the Bar Headed goose and Brahmin ducks are commonly seen here. The region around the lake supports a number of species of wildlife including the Wild Ass (Kiang) and the Himalayan marmot. Take a long walk along the shore of the crystal blue lake. Overnight stay in hotel/Camp at the lake side.
Day 07 : Pangong lake to Tsomoriri lake- via Tsagala drive
After the breakfast drive along the shore of Pangong lake, other side of the blue lake is China, You will some amazing wildlife and then reach to Tsomoriri lake and Check in to hotel/Camp. Later on tour of the nomad area, the feature of this area are that they can be seen moving from one place to other grazing herds of goats, sheep and yaks. This nomad people are called Changpas; they pass their days with their animals and move with their flocks, their only wealth, from the material of which they make their ropes, their clothes and shoes. All day long men and women are busy milking, churning the milk into butter, making ropes, weaving mats and other fabrics and repairing their tent. These people have been completely beyond the pale of all civilizing influences. Even towards the fag end of the twenty first century, they actually belong to a primitive, pre-historic age. Hot lunch at camp side and enjoy the calm, peace and serenity of this isolated place. Overnight stay at lake side.
Day 08: Tsomoriri - Tsokar lake –Leh ( 6 Hr drive).
After breakfast drive to Tsokar, which means white salt lake because of the evaporates found on the margins of the lake. Tsokar, an area of about 20 sq.km, is situated at an altitude of 4530m above sea level and about 160 kms southeast of Leh, in the Rupshu Valley of Ladakh region. It situated between the Zanskar range in south-west the Ladakh region in the north-east Tsokar is also called salt lake, as in ancient time local Changspa extract salts out of it and it is surrounded by extensive areas of fresh and saline marshes and wet meadows, which host a varieties of water birds, including Black-necked crane, great crested grebe, Bar-headed goose and Tibetan Wild Ass- Kyang, great Tibetan Sheep-Nayan are found in this area. After enjoy the most amazing views of this lake side, Overnight at Tsokar Resort at lake side.
Day 09: Rest Day and free day in Leh/Optional day
Day 10: Leh to Delhi fly out
Early morning drive to Leh airport for onward journey to Delhi.
